Privacy & cookies

What this app keeps, what analytics would collect, and your choice.

Who is responsible

Stupid Trip Planner is run by its administrator, who decides what is collected and why. To reach them, write to privacy@stupidtripplanner.com.

What we keep to run your trips

Your account, your profile and what you do on a trip are stored so the app works. Medical and passport details are seen only by you and the organizers of your trips. One small cookie keeps you signed in, and one remembers your choice below; both are strictly necessary.

What analytics collects, if you say yes

PostHog counts page views and clicks and, if you allow recordings, records how screens are used. Everything you type is hidden in recordings, and private areas (medical, passport, dietary and phone details, answers to organizers' questions, receipts, profiles, participant lists, admin pages, feedback and shared days) are blocked out. You are identified by an opaque code, never by your name or email. Addresses in the browser bar are sent without their query strings, and share links without their codes.

Why, and on what basis

To see which parts of the app help and where people get stuck. The legal basis is your consent: nothing is collected until you say yes, and saying no changes nothing else.

Who processes it, and where

PostHog, in its EU cloud. Your IP address is discarded. PostHog keeps events for the retention period set in our project, and deletes them after it.

Your rights

You can see, correct or delete what we hold about you, and withdraw your consent at any time below or from your profile. To have your analytics data erased, write to the address above: they delete it in PostHog using your opaque code.

Your choice

You have not made a choice yet. Nothing is collected until you do.
